STLRFD is an engineering application developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for the analysis and Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) of highway sign, luminaire, and traffic signal support structures. Aligned with AASHTO LRFD Specifications and PennDOT design policies, it enables engineers to model truss and cantilever supports, define site-specific loads and geometry, and check strength, service, and fatigue limit states. The software streamlines workflows by automating code-based load combinations, accounting for wind and ice effects, and producing clear, calculation-grade reports suitable for review and submittal. STLRFD supports consistent, safe, and economical designs across new and existing installations and is intended for structural and transportation engineers familiar with LRFD methodology and PennDOT standards.
